END OF AN ERA! |
| |
Where does the time go? It certainly doesn’t seen a year that I wrote to you all to say how honoured I was to be Staunton’s Operational Headteacher. Now we are at this historic point in the life of this school. As you are all well aware, when the children return after the summer holidays they will attend the Havant Academy, the first Academy in Hampshire. Obviously there will be many changes, some you have already been informed of, for example the uniform, and changes to the school day. |
|
Allow me to update you of some staff changes as with most end of years, staff move on. This year we sadly say a fond farewell to

I know they are all extremely excited to join our existing members of staff in order to make Havant Academy second to none, offering the best education, and life chances to all members of our community.
May I take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their relentless efforts throughout. I couldn’t have asked for a more committed team. I am so proud to each and every one of them.
Can I also thank all of the young people for their tremendous efforts and hard work this year, that will hopefully see us achieve our best set of results ever, which will be a fitting legacy for Staunton.
To all of you, many thanks for all your continued support ensuring that our young people develop in to the bright, happy, mature and successful individuals, who are ready for the challenges of the “real world”.
This year it has really been an absolute honour to be Operational Headteacher. I have learnt so much personally, but success is all about teamwork without which nothing worthwhile is achieved, so my personal thanks once again go to everyone who helped make Staunton what it was and Havant Academy the success I have no doubt it will be.
I wish you all a happy safe and relaxing enjoyable well deserved Summer Holiday. |
